Founded in 1992, Kırıkkale University began its educational mission with the goal of becoming a distinguished university recognized at the national and international level by continuously improving the quality of its instruction and original research, and by contributing to scientific activity and public service. Currently providing educational opportunities to more than 30,000 students through 12 faculties, 3 institutes, and 23 research centers, Kırıkkale University is also the university closest to the province of Ankara.

Students who choose Kırıkkale University can also benefit from the opportunity to continue a portion of their undergraduate education abroad through the Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana student exchange programs.

Certain undergraduate programs at Kırıkkale University are taught in English, and prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam. Based on their scores, students may either transition directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. Additionally, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL may apply for a preparatory program exemption.

Prospective students who wish to apply to the undergraduate programs offered by Kırıkkale University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

High School Diploma

Minimum YKS Base Score: 198.02051

Maximum YKS Base Score: 416.99674

For International Students:

SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

or

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate

or

A sufficient score from at least one of the following international student exams: AKUS, AYÖS, ATAYÖS, ERÜYÖS, İYÖS, KOÜYÖS, MÜYÖS, OMÜYÖS, SDÜYÖS, ULUYÖS, KTÜYÖS, or YTÜYÖS
