Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi

Founded in 1992 under the name Gebze Institute of Technology with the aim of training scientists to contribute to engineering and planning in the country, Gebze Technical University is one of the universities that has shown the most academic growth in Turkey in recent years. Its proximity to Istanbul and its large campus are among the reasons students choose it. Gebze Technical University provides educational opportunities to 8,700 students across 5 faculties and 9 institutes, with more than half enrolled in graduate programs.

It ranks among the top 5 universities in Turkey in terms of publications per faculty member. Gebze Technical University offers Farabi, Mevlana, and Erasmus+ exchange programs and is home to 10 research centers, most notably the Nanotechnology Application and Research Center.

Gebze Technical University requires prospective students to participate in an English Preparatory Program for departments where the language of instruction is English.

Additionally, prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Gebze Technical University must meet the following requirements.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 232.08717
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 441.23845
• For Preparatory Program Exemption: A minimum TOEFL score of 72

For International Students;

• Score from exams such as SAT, Matura, or ABITUR
  or
• International Baccalaureate Diploma
• A minimum score of 70 on the Gebze Technical University International Student Exam (GTÜYÖS)
