As an international student, you must submit the CSS Profile during the application process to be considered for need-based financial aid.

Take a closer look at Claremont McKenna College
Claremont is a suburban city 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains' foothills. It is a college town of only 35,000 people, known as the City of Trees and PhDs. Its focal point is the Village, a walkable downtown of sidewalk cafes and stores that draw visitors into the tree-lined streets. Street festivals, concerts in the park, movie nights, and a weekly farmers market give the city's atmosphere its distinctive, welcoming character.
The 2,000-acre Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, an extensive trail system, and dedicated bike lanes make this an ideal location. A Metrolink station in the village also puts other major attractions in Southern California within easy reach.
Marian Miner Hall, with its red-tiled roof, bell tower, and spacious interior courtyards, is the prominent focal point of the campus. It holds administrative offices and classrooms. Kravis Center is a lively hub for student activities, with a wide range of events and performances, and it houses the respected Athenaeum honors program. The Pritzker Library is a modern place for intellectual work, with research materials, areas for studying, and wide views of the nearby mountains.
The Honnold Mudd Science Building is an advanced facility with laboratories, lecture halls, and shared areas for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Marianna Brown Johnson Residence Hall is a newly built hall, known for its environmentally conscious architecture and its mountain views.
Life on the Claremont McKenna College (CMC) campus is dynamic and varied, with a wide range of activities, amenities, and opportunities. About 85% of students live on campus, and housing is assured for the four years of the degree. The dormitories fall into three areas: North Quad, Mid Quad, and South Quad, each with its own character. The North Quad dormitories were the first residential buildings on campus. Their rooms open directly to the outdoors and are arranged in suites that share a communal bathroom.
Mid Quad has extensive inner corridors, communal restroom amenities, and lounge spaces. The student flats, lived in mostly by upperclassmen, sit on the eastern edge of the campus. CMC is known for its lively social atmosphere and permissive drinking regulations, which draw students from other consortium schools. Since 2015, the college has worked to overhaul its social culture. If you are looking for other options, the institution provides substance-free social activities.
These include the yearly excursion to Disneyland, artistic events, and service programs organized by the institution's programming board.
The Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum is the hub for intellectual and social engagements. Each year it organizes more than one hundred dinner and lecture events with a diverse array of speakers. In its library, the Athenaeum offers a daily afternoon tea service, which includes pastries and chocolate-coated strawberries. As part of the Claremont Campuses Consortium, you can use common facilities and join programs and events at all five campuses. That covers seven dining halls, libraries, a diverse array of distinguished speakers, employment and recruitment gatherings, and social events.
A significant number of students take part in study abroad programs or in domestic internships in Washington, D.C., and Silicon Valley. These programs pair full-time internships with evening seminars conducted by CMC professors. There is a vast selection of student organizations and clubs for a wide range of interests. They include academic and professional clubs as well as cultural and recreational groups. The Claremont Colleges collectively use athletic facilities like gymnasiums, swimming pools, and sports fields, which are available to students.
Students who have the option to take physical education classes or join sports teams give strong support to intramural and intercollegiate athletics. CMC promotes community engagement and service by offering you several opportunities to join community service projects, internships, and social entrepreneurship initiatives. Through the year, the university organizes a diverse range of cultural events, performances, and recreational activities. These give you ample opportunity to take part in artistic, cultural, and leisure pursuits.
