Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University is a public university founded in 1992 in Çanakkale province, Turkey. Taking its name from the Battle of Çanakkale on March 18, 1915, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University began the 1992–1993 academic year with the Çanakkale Faculty of Education, Çanakkale Vocational School, and Biga Vocational School, and today ranks among Turkey's most entrepreneurial universities.

As a member of the International Association of Universities, the European University Association, the ADIM Universities Consortium, and the Thrace Universities Union, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University currently provides higher education opportunities to approximately 50,000 students through 18 faculties — including the Biga Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Biga Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Çanakkale Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the Faculty of Tourism, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Agriculture — along with 3 schools, 13 vocational schools, 1 state conservatory, 1 institute, and 50 research and application centers.

Certain undergraduate programs at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University are taught in English, German, and French. Accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their scores, they may either transition directly into their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program.

In addition, prospective students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE for English; TELC, TestDaF, PNDS, Goethe-Zertifikat for German; and DELF, DALF for French — or on proficiency exams administered by OSYM and YOK such as YDS, E-YDS, and YOKDiL — may request an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University must fulfill the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 198.30730
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 447.77363

For International Students;

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

To Waive the Preparatory Program;
