Ufuk University

Ufuk University is a foundation university established in 1999 in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, under the leadership of Dr. Rıdvan Ege and by the Traffic Accidents Aid Foundation of Turkey.

Since its founding, Ufuk University has trained and contributed to Turkey a large number of students with the goals of preventing various types of accidents, disasters, and catastrophes, providing emergency aid, medical assistance, and social support for injuries and illnesses resulting from such events, delivering rehabilitation services, and opening educational institutions — including institutions of higher education — to train all the qualified personnel needed for these purposes.

Today, Ufuk University provides higher education opportunities to approximately 5,000 students across two campuses in Ankara through 5 faculties — the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Medicine — along with 2 schools, 2 vocational schools, and 2 institutes.

The language of instruction in some undergraduate programs at Ufuk University is English. Accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their score, they may either begin undergraduate studies directly or start a preparatory program. Additionally, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams administered by OSYM, such as YDS and YÖKDİL, may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students who wish to apply to the undergraduate programs offered by Ufuk University must fulfill the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 200.04695
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 403.34244

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Exemption:

• A passing score on the placement and proficiency exam administered by Ufuk University, or a minimum score of 60 on national English proficiency exams administered by OSYM, or an equivalent score on an internationally recognized foreign language exam accepted as equivalent by OSYM.
