Süleyman Demirel University

Süleyman Demirel University is a public university founded in 1992 in Isparta, Turkey. Named after Isparta native Süleyman Demirel, the 9th President of the Republic of Turkey, the university operates across two campuses in the city of Isparta — the East Campus and the West Campus — which together feature 18 sports facilities and 65 laboratories, while the university hosts 34 sports teams and 108 student clubs.

Celebrating its 30th year in higher education, Süleyman Demirel University provides higher education opportunities to approximately 40,000 students through 15 faculties — including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Letters, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Faculty of Technical Education, and Faculty of Medicine — along with 6 institutes, 1 state conservatory, 2 colleges, and 4 vocational schools.

Certain undergraduate programs at Süleyman Demirel University are taught in English; accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their score, they may either advance directly to undergraduate study or begin a preparatory program. In addition, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, FCE, CAE, PTE Academic, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Süleyman Demirel University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 199.59300
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 419.3343

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, or Abitur Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
  or
• Süleyman Demirel University Foreign Student Exam (SDÜYÖS) Score
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• Score from a proficiency exam administered by ÖSYM, such as TOEFL iBT, FCE, CAE, PTE Academic, YDS, or YÖKDİL
