Sivas Cumhuriyet University

Sivas Cumhuriyet University is a public university founded in 1974 in Sivas, Turkey. Established in Sivas to honor the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, Cumhuriyet University has grown over time to become one of Turkey's most successful universities.

Today, the university provides higher education opportunities to more than 40,000 students through 18 faculties — including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Faculty of Technical Education, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Tourism, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine — as well as 4 institutes, 4 schools, 15 vocational schools, 1 state conservatory, and 37 research and application centers.

Certain undergraduate programs at Sivas Cumhuriyet University are offered in English, German, and French. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and depending on their score, they may either transition directly into the undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program.

Additionally, students who have achieved sufficient scores on proficiency exams such as TOEFL or PTE-Academic for English, TestDaF, DSD, TELC, or Goethe-Zertifikat for German, or DELF/DALF for French, as well as proficiency exams administered by OSYM and YOK such as YDS, E-YDS, or YOKDİL, may request an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Sivas Cumhuriyet University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 198.72428
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 436.36634

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
  or
• A sufficient score on the Sivas Cumhuriyet University Foreign Student Exam (SCÜYÖS)
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Class Exemption:
