Launched in 1998 under the slogan "A World University at the Heart of Istanbul," Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi's main campus is situated along the Beşiktaş waterfront, one of Istanbul's most vibrant neighborhoods. As a member of the BAU Global Education Network, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi students can continue a portion of their undergraduate education at BAU's schools in Berlin, Washington, and Cyprus. Today, Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi provides educational opportunities to more than 25,000 students through 11 faculties, 3 institutes, and 4 colleges.

The university also offers student exchange programs such as Erasmus and World Exchange.

Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi requires prospective students applying to English-language programs to complete an English Preparatory Program.

Additionally, prospective students who wish to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi must meet the following requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 204.15895
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 483.14508
• For Preparatory Program Exemption: A minimum TOEFL score of 72

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura score

• International Baccalaureate Diploma or A-Level Diploma
