Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, formerly known as Yildirim Beyazit University, is a public university established on July 21, 2010, in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The university began operations in 2010 with 7 faculties, 1 college, 1 conservatory, and 4 institutes, and has signed cooperation agreements with more than 100 universities — including the University of Stirling, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and the University of Florida — commencing joint work with these institutions under the Erasmus program.

Having also established agreements with major Turkish institutions such as TUSAS and HAVELSAN, Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University today provides higher education opportunities to approximately 25,000 students through 13 faculties, 1 state conservatory, 1 college, 4 vocational schools, and 5 institutes.

Some undergraduate programs at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University are taught in English. Accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam; based on their score, they may either enroll directly in undergraduate courses or begin a preparatory program. Students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, CAE/CPE, or FCE, or on the university's own YDMS exam, may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• Minimum YKS Base Score: 199.21894
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 424.80914

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• TOEFL iBT, IELTS, FCE, CAE, PTE Academic, or Proficiency Exam Score
