Yüksek İhtisas University

Yüksek İhtisas University is a foundation university established in 2011 in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, by the Turkey Yüksek İhtisas Hospital Foundation and the Turkey State Hospitals Foundation. With academic work concentrated especially in the health field, Yüksek İhtisas University aims to become one of the world's leading research universities — particularly in health sciences — through expertise and innovation.

To that end, it provides higher education opportunities to approximately 2,000 students across 2 campuses in Ankara, through 3 faculties — the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Sports Sciences — along with 1 institute and 3 schools.

Undergraduate programs at Yüksek İhtisas University are taught in Turkish, English, German, and French. For English-language programs, prospective students are first required to take a level placement and proficiency exam, and based on their score, they may either proceed directly to undergraduate study or begin a preparatory program.

In addition, prospective students who have achieved a minimum score of 55 on YÖKDİL in English, German, or French, or a minimum score of 55 on YDS, a minimum score of 60 on TOEFL iBT, at least a C on the CPE exam, or at least a C on the FCE/ESOL exam may apply for a preparatory program exemption.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Yüksek İhtisas University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 218.84202
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 452.23048

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• A minimum score of 55 on YÖKDİL in English, German, or French, or a minimum score of 55 on YDS, a minimum score of 60 on TOEFL iBT, at least a C on the CPE exam, or at least a C on the FCE/ESOL exam.
