Kadir Has Üniversitesi

Kadir Has Üniversitesi is a foundation university located in Istanbul, Turkey, with preparatory work originally begun in 1992 and formally established in 1997.

Founded by Kadir Has, a businessman and philanthropist, and currently supported by the Kadir Has Foundation, Kadir Has Üniversitesi is a member of prestigious institutions and initiatives including the European University Association, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Magna Charta Universitatum — The Observatory, the European Women Rectors Association, the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the Association of Turkish-American Scientists and Scholars, the United Nations Global Compact, the International Telecommunication Union Academy, the International Association of University Presidents, and Europa Nostra.

One of Turkey's distinguished foundation universities, Kadir Has Üniversitesi currently provides higher education opportunities to more than 5,000 students through 5 faculties — including the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts and Design — along with 3 colleges and 8 research and application centers.

The vast majority of undergraduate programs at Kadir Has Üniversitesi are taught in English, and all prospective students wishing to apply to the university's undergraduate programs are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam administered by the university. Depending on their score, students may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or complete a preparatory program. Students who have already achieved sufficient scores on exams such as TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or PTE Academic may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Kadir Has Üniversitesi must meet the following requirements.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score:     224.59307
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 440.9463

For International Students;

• At least one of the following: SAT, ACT, GCE, ABITUR and FACHABITUR, or MATURA, or a YÖS score

To Skip Preparatory Class;

• TOEFL i-BT (minimum 78), CAE (minimum C), CPE (minimum C), PTE Academic (minimum 60)
