Jagiellonian University, Poland’s oldest university, is located in the historic city of Krakow. Founded in 1364, it is also considered one of the oldest universities in Europe. The university is a public research institution. Jagiellonian University provides an international education to approximately 45,000 students across more than 87 different fields of study.
Distinguished researchers and cutting-edge infrastructure have enabled the university to collaborate with major academic centers from around the world. One of Poland’s leading scientific institutions, the university employs approximately 4,000 academics. It is also the only university in Poland to house three Medical Faculties.

How to get into Jagiellonian University
International prospective students considering undergraduate study at Jagiellonian University must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma / IB diploma
- Transcript documents
- Language proficiency documents: Cambridge B2 - IELTS 5.5 - TOEFL 72
- Polish language proficiency certificate at a minimum B2 level for programs taught in Polish
- SAT/ACT scores may be required depending on the program.
- Application fee
International prospective students considering graduate study at Jagiellonian University must meet the following criteria:
- University diploma

- Statement of purpose and reference letter
- Language proficiency documents: Cambridge B2 - IELTS 5.5 - TOEFL 72
- Polish language proficiency certificate at a minimum B2 level for programs taught in Polish
- GRE/GMAT scores may be required depending on the program.

Applicants will be invited to an admissions interview, conducted either in person or via Skype.
Applicants may apply from January through September, as long as spots are available.
