İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi

İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi is a public university established in 2010 in the province of İzmir, Turkey. The university takes its name from Kâtip Çelebi, an Ottoman scholar and author who lived in the 17th century.

The fourth state university founded in İzmir, Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi operates at the Çiğli Main Campus and Çiğli Health Campus, offering higher education to more than 15,000 students through 14 faculties — including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Naval Architecture and Maritime, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Design, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Aquatic Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Tourism — along with 3 institutes, 1 college, 2 vocational colleges, and 26 research and application centers.

Certain undergraduate programs at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi are taught in English, and prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam. Depending on their score, students may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. Students who have already achieved sufficient scores on proficiency exams such as CPE, CAE, TOEFL i-BT, PTE Academic, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS and YÖKDİL may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 199.17161
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 424.82112

For International Students;

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate

To Skip Preparatory Class;

• For English: a sufficient score on CPE, CAE, TOEFL i-BT, PTE Academic, or ÖSYM-administered proficiency exams such as YDS and YÖKDİL
