Founded in 1999 by the Okan Culture, Education and Sports Foundation and beginning academic instruction in 2003, Istanbul Okan University is a research-oriented private university located in the Tuzla district of Istanbul. Away from the hustle of city life, Okan University's Tuzla campus offers students a wide range of facilities including modern classrooms, sports centers, and conference halls. Istanbul Okan University currently provides educational opportunities to its students through 10 faculties, 1 conservatory, and 1 institute offering a total of 241 programs. As the first Turkish university to earn the authority to award HNC – High National Certificate and HND – High National Diploma credentials, Okan University gives you the opportunity to spend one or two semesters of your undergraduate education abroad through the Erasmus student exchange program.

Certain undergraduate programs at Istanbul Okan University are taught in English. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their scores, they may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. Additionally, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or exams administered by OSYM such as YDS and YOKDiL may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

For Turkish Students;

High School Diploma

Maximum YKS Base Score: 204.88498

For International Students;

SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
