Harran Üniversitesi

Named after the Harran Plain, one of the most fertile plains in Sanliurfa and Turkey, Harran University is a research-oriented public university established in 1992. Rooted in the Sanliurfa Vocational School of Higher Education founded in 1976, Harran University is the first higher education institution in Sanliurfa province. Today, Harran University offers undergraduate and graduate education to more than 20,000 students through 14 faculties, 1 State Conservatory, 3 institutes, and 15 research/application centers.

Students at Harran University have the opportunity to spend one or two semesters of their undergraduate education at partner universities abroad through the Erasmus student exchange program.

Certain undergraduate programs at Harran University are taught in English. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam; based on their score, they may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. However, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams administered by OSYM — such as TOEFL iBT, CAE, CPE, YDS, or YOKDiL — may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Harran University must meet the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students;

High School Diploma

Minimum YKS Base Score: 200.20008

Maximum YKS Base Score: 431.6937

For International Students;

SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

or

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate

or

A sufficient score on at least one of the following foreign student exams: HARRAN YOS, AKUS, AYOS, ATAYOS, ERUUOS, IYOS, KOUUOS, MUYOS, OMUYOS, SDUYOS, ULUYOS, KTUYOS, or YTUYOS
