Haliç University

Haliç University is a foundation university established in 1998 in Istanbul, Turkey. Originally founded by and still affiliated with the Bizim Lösemili Çocuklar Foundation, Haliç University began its educational activities on November 23, 1998, with 4 faculties, 3 colleges, 1 institute, and 1 conservatory, and has grown and expanded over the past 24 years to operate across 2 separate campuses.

Today, Haliç University provides higher education to approximately 15,000 students through 7 faculties — including the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Faculty of Medicine — along with 3 colleges, 1 conservatory, and 1 vocational school.

Certain undergraduate programs at Haliç University are taught in English. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam, and based on their score, they may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. In addition, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or proficiency exams administered by OSYM such as YDS or YÖKDİL may request an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Haliç University must meet the admission requirements listed below.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 200.00347
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 413.57319

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• A sufficient score on a proficiency exam such as TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or OSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL
