The official founding date is listed as 2005, but the school originally began offering education in Lucerne, Switzerland in 1991 under the name 'Culinary Arts Academy.' Expansion continued in 1996, when the Culinary Arts Academy added further partnerships with Florida International University and the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.
In 2011 the school joined the Swiss Education Group and was renamed 'Culinary Arts Academy, Switzerland.' It offers programs at its campuses in Le Bouveret and Brig, with a particular focus on culinary arts and cookery. Those programs are accredited by the World Association of Chef Societies, the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education, and EduQua. The school provides higher education opportunities to more than 300 students.

Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland has campuses in Le Bouveret and Brig. The Le Bouveret Campus sits on the shores of Lake Geneva, a five-minute drive from France, Switzerland's neighboring country. It was built on the site of a historic hotel from the early 1900s. The campus offers a peaceful, safe learning environment with modern facilities. The Le Bouveret Campus includes the buildings The Aiglon, Bellevue 1 & 2, Apicius, and The Mosimann Collection. These buildings house fully equipped training kitchens where educational activities take place.
The kitchens include the Apicius Culinary Training Center, the Pauli Kitchen, the Soul Kitchen, the Pietro Leeman Kitchen, and the Irma Dütsch Kitchen. In the same buildings you will also find a computer lab, a library, the Mane Food Development Laboratory, and Chef Anton Mosimann's celebrated Mosimann Collection. The Brig Campus stands in the city of Brig, in the Rhône Valley at the foot of the Swiss Alps. The famous Matterhorn is a short train ride away.
The Brig Campus houses classrooms and lecture halls for the school's theoretical courses, plus a computer lab, a library, student dormitories, and a fitness center.
The library on the Le Bouveret Campus has study spaces and reading rooms, whether you want to study for class, do research, or read. The Student Lounge on campus gives you wide open spaces to relax between classes, or to socialize and unwind after hours. It also has ping-pong tables, foosball tables, and a home cinema system with gaming gear. Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Le Bouveret Campus is conveniently located near facilities and ski resorts. There you can take up water sports in summer and winter sports year-round.
The Brig Campus lies in the sunny Rhône Valley at the foot of the Alps. Mountain resort towns such as Zermatt and Saas-Fee are within walking distance. The city of Brig is home to one of the largest thermal baths in Switzerland. On the Brig Campus you will find a coffee shop, a pub, a fitness center, and a restaurant for students. The Green Globe Club, the Wine Club, and the Music Club are also active in the school, and you can join them.
