Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University — or Acıbadem University for short — is a foundation university established in 2007 in Istanbul, Turkey. Since its founding, the university has focused its academic work primarily in the health sciences, aiming to bring together all branches of health-related disciplines under one roof, while also offering associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in fields outside this domain.

Supported by the Acıbadem Health and Education Foundation, Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University provides higher education opportunities to more than 5,000 students at its Ataşehir Campus — completed in 2013 — through 5 faculties (the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences), 2 vocational schools, 4 institutes, and 12 research and application centers.

Certain undergraduate programs at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University are taught in English. Prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam in English, and based on their score, may either proceed directly into the undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. However, students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams such as TOEFL iBT, CAE, PTE Academic, or ÖSYM-administered exams such as YDS or YÖKDİL may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students applying to undergraduate programs offered by Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 211.28873
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 423.60121

For International Students;

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCE A-Level Certificate

• Istanbul University, Marmara University, or Ankara University Foreign Student Exam
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Exemption;

• English: TOEFL iBT, CAE, PTE Academic, YDS, or YÖKDİL Proficiency Exam Score
