İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü

İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü is a public university founded in 1992 in the city of İzmir, Turkey. Specializing in high-level instruction, research, and consultancy — particularly in technical fields — the institute conducts all education in English and offers 18 undergraduate programs, 27 master's programs, and 19 doctoral programs.

Committed to international standards in education and research, İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü currently manages approximately 400 research projects supported by SANTEZ, the European Union, the State Planning Organization, and TÜBİTAK, as well as around 500 research projects supported by the İYTE research fund. The institute provides higher education opportunities to approximately 7,000 students through its Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Graduate Education Institute, and School of Foreign Languages.

All undergraduate programs at İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü are taught in English. Accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam. Depending on their score, students may either proceed directly to their undergraduate program or begin a preparatory program. Students who have already achieved sufficient scores on proficiency exams such as TOEFL i-BT, PTE Academic, YDS, YÖKDİL, CPE, or CAE may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students;

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 258.18857
•  Maximum YKS Base Score: 442.56522

For International Students;

• SAT Score
• Turkish Proficiency Certificate

To Skip Preparatory Class;

• TOEFL i-BT, PTE Academic, YDS, YÖKDİL, CPE, or CAE Score
