Gaziantep University was founded in 1973 with the goal of providing qualified citizens to the city of Gaziantep, one of the most important industrial and cultural centers in the region, situated between Southeastern Anatolia and the Mediterranean. Having become one of the region's leading healthcare centers through its Faculty of Medicine Hospital, Gaziantep University today serves over 47,000 students with a faculty of 1,800 academic staff. Offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs through 20 faculties and 5 institutes, students at Gaziantep University can take advantage of Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana student exchange programs.
