Boğaziçi University

Founded on September 16, 1863, originally as Robert College, and granted university status on September 10, 1971, Boğaziçi University is a public university located in Istanbul. Having produced more than 55,000 graduates to date, Boğaziçi University has consistently maintained a place in the top 10 in both national and international university rankings and is recognized as one of the best universities in Turkey and Europe.

Boğaziçi University requires prospective students applying to programs where English is one of the languages of instruction to complete an English Preparatory Program.

In addition, prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Boğaziçi University must meet the following requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 349.48615
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 521.30695

For International Students:

• SAT or ÖSYS Score
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• IELTS or TOEFL Score 
  or
• A passing score on the BUEPT Proficiency Exam administered by Boğaziçi University
