Akdeniz Üniversitesi

Akdeniz University is a public university established in 1982 in Antalya, Turkey. Founded with a mandate to serve higher education institutions across the Western Mediterranean region, Akdeniz University has achieved many milestones in research and education, and has become one of Turkey's leading educational institutions — particularly through its Faculties of Medicine, Law, and Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Holding the distinction of being the university where the first 100 transplants in Turkey were performed, Akdeniz University is a member of the European University Association and the Caucasus University Association. Today it provides higher education opportunities to more than 60,000 students through 24 faculties, 7 institutes, 1 college, 12 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, and more than 60 research and application centers.

Some undergraduate programs at Akdeniz University are taught in English. Accordingly, prospective students are first required to take a placement and proficiency exam; based on their score, they may either enroll directly in undergraduate courses or begin a preparatory program. Students who have achieved a sufficient score on proficiency exams administered by OSYM, such as YDS or YOKDiL, may apply for an exemption from the preparatory program.

Prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Akdeniz University must meet the following admission requirements.

For Turkish Students:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum YKS Base Score: 197.84272
• Maximum YKS Base Score: 427.28855

For International Students:

• SAT, ACT, Abitur, or Matura Score
  or
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-Level Certificate
• Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate

For Preparatory Program Exemption:

• YDS or YOKDiL Proficiency Exam Score
