Selçuk University is a public university founded in 1975 in Konya, Turkey. Its roots go back to 1962, when the Selçuk Teacher Training Institute and the Higher Islamic Institute were established, followed by the School of Engineering and Architecture in 1968, which later became the Konya State Academy of Architecture and Engineering. Selçuk University gained university status in 1975. Today, the university provides higher education to approximately 70,000 students through 23 faculties, 5 schools, 22 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, 7 institutes, and 54 research and application centers.

How to get into Selçuk University
Selçuk University requires prospective students to complete a preparatory program for departments where the language of instruction is English, German, French, or Arabic.
In addition, prospective students wishing to apply to undergraduate programs offered by Selçuk University must meet the following requirements.
For Turkish Students:

- Minimum YKS Base Score: 197.76272
- Maximum YKS Base Score: 422.45951
For International Students:
- SÜYÖS Exam Score
- TÖMER Turkish Proficiency Exam Score
For Preparatory Class Exemption:
- English: TOEFL i-BT, CAE, CPE, or PTE Exam Score
- German: TELC, Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDAF Exam Score
- French: DELF/DALF, TFI Exam Score
